Friday, May 28th, 2010Medical center employees rock!
Friday, May 28th, 2010We are getting ready to wrap up this year’s annual Employee Campaign. Wow, what a year! Employees from throughout our medical campus have pledged over $95,000 designated to several different focus areas such as department designated funds and the Turning Point Campaign to build a new child and adolescent mental health center.Â
We’re very proud of the relationship we have with our employees. Their donations are a significant part of what we are able to do, and knowing that employees trust us to use their gifts wisely is one of the highest compliments we can receive.Â
So, a big thank you goes out to our employees! We couldn’t do what we do without you.
A warm welcome
Friday, May 21st, 2010We recently welcomed Duluthian native Joanna Carlson to our fundraising team. Joanna holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business, where she graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. She holds a B.A. in English and Communications from the College of St. Scholastica. Joanna is responsible for marketing and special events and is currently preparing for ARTcetera 2010.
We’re excited to have Joanna on board; she will be instrumental in helping us achieve our Mission to promote the health and well-being of the people of our region.
Coming soon!
Friday, May 14th, 2010The Miller-Dwan Foundation’s 2009 Annual Report is hot off the press! We’re very proud of the many accomplishments we made in 2009, thanks to the continued generosity of our donors. It is because of you that we’re able to make a difference in the lives of so many of our community members.  In 2009, we awarded $837,470 to improve healthcare in our region; we committed to raising $5 million to build a new mental health center for our region’s children, teens, and young adults; we received more than $2 million, including a $1 million lead gift for the new children’s mental health center; we welcomed the Former Prime Minister of Norway, Kjell Magne Bondevik, to ARTcetera as the honorary co-chair and guest speaker; and we raised more than $2.7 million in gifts from people throughout our region – a record setting year for the Foundation.Â
